What is islumo?
islumo is a native macOS app that turns the space around your notch into a workspace with 19 tools, including music controls, clipboard, a file shelf, calendar and more.
Does my Mac need a notch?
No. On a display without a notch, islumo provides a floating island at the top of the screen. The app requires macOS 14.6 or later.
Can I download or purchase it yet?
The public download and pricing are being prepared. When available, official download and purchase links will appear in the release section on islumo.com.
What stays on my Mac?
Preferences, clipboard and notes are stored locally. Revenue credentials use the macOS Keychain. Weather, stocks, revenue and other connected features contact the respective providers. The website demo uses illustrative data.
How do the AI tools work?
AI Usage reads local Claude and Codex session files. Optional bridges add results and supported approvals inside the island; Codex hooks require trust review. Ask requires macOS 26 and a supported, available Apple Intelligence model.
Can I customize the island?
Yes. Choose Pure, Joy or Glow, enable the tools you want, reorder the dock, and select one to six home widgets. A pet companion is optional and off by default.
